Featuring Jim Morgan, VP of Member Experience, MRA
Are the human resources issues in small businesses different than medium and large business? No... and yes! The issues that are affecting all businesses right now include: finding talent, keeping talent, effective communications, harassment claims, social media crises, pay and benefits, and hiring and firing.
As a small business, you don’t have an HR Director. You don’t have outside consultants and you don’t have time – you only have you. With limited resources, where do you spend your time? Join Jim Morgan for a conversation around “risk and reward” as it pertains to human resources, and talk about some best practices you can implement in your small business.
Jim Morgan has facilitated strategic planning sessions for businesses, chambers of commerce, and economic development groups, primarily around developing a talent pipeline for employers. He has provided keynote presentations for groups from 50 to over 1000. In addition, Jim is currently serving as the lead consultant on the New Skills for Youth grant won by Wisconsin which focuses on career pathways for students. His role is working with the four regional directors (Indianhead, Madison, Milwaukee and Moraine Park) to ensure business engagement in design and implementation. CEOs, policymakers, educators, and students have enjoyed his mix of data, experiences, research, stories, and humor.
