About Us
Scott County Health Department (SCHD) has a long history of service and is the Health Department for all of Scott County, Iowa. SCHD was formed in January 1969 when the Scott County Board of Health and the City of Davenport Board of Health merged as a result of the Local Health Act of 1967. SCHD is governed by the Scott County Board of Health. SCHD received accreditation from the Public Health Accreditation Board (PHAB) in November 2018 and reaccreditation in August 2025.
