Davenport, IA – July 11, 2018 – Country Style Ice Cream is excited to announce that it will be opening its fifth Quad Cities location this August! Christina Sanchez-Lopez will be operating the new franchise out of the old Maggie Moo’s storefront at the Prairie Ridge Complex on Utica Ridge Road in Davenport across from Biaggi’s.
This new location is part of Country Style’s ever growing commitment to better serve the Quad Cities. Sanchez-Lopez says, “We are thrilled to have the opportunity to expand into this region of the Quad cities and Make it easier for Eastern Davenport and Bettendorf to experience our one of a kind product.
The first Country Style Ice Cream was founded here in the Quad Cities in 1947 by two brothers, Wayne Lindgren and Chester “Whitey” Lindgren during their foray into the world of ice cream. The brother’s collaborated to create a high-quality soft serve mix that is frequently said to taste “like homemade” by ice cream lovers, young and old. Their dedication and hard work continued on when Kent Kindelsperger purchased Country Style in 1988. Since its founding, Country Style has built a following that has spread across the U.S.
