Davenport, IA – Frontier Hospitality Group of Davenport, IA is announcing plans to develop and operate a new Cambria Hotel in Bettendorf, IA at the site of the new TBK Bank Sport Complex at Middle Road and Interstate 80. The 112 room hotel will be constructed in the second half of 2018 and first half of 2019.
The Cambria Hotel Bettendorf will provide guests with a new and approachable upscale lodging option. In addition to a state-of-the-art fitness center and multi-function meeting space, the hotel will include contemporary onsite dining, serving a menu comprised of local specialties, liquor, wine, and local craft beers, as well as freshly prepared grab-and-go gourmet salads and sandwiches. The hotel will be located at the corner of BettPlex Drive and Championship Drive and will further the tremendous offerings of the TBK Bank Sports Complex.
“We are pleased to be a part of this dynamic new development,” says Dan Huber, CEO and Co-Owner of Frontier Hospitality Group. The Cambria Hotel will anchor the commercial development surrounding the new Sports Complex. This is FHG’s first hotel project with Choice International and the Cambria Hotel brand. “Cambria offers a tremendous product that guests love, and we’re thrilled to add this great brand to our portfolio,” says Huber.
“The hotel prototype is very eye appealing and it fits the bill for not only the sports teams and their families, but also the Quad City bound business traveler,” says Huber. “Not only will we host dozens of teams, but our corporate guests will be drawn to the adjacent restaurants, the bowling alley and arcade found within High Five Lanes & Games,( the family entertainment center attached to the TBK Bank Sports Complex), and the amenities found within the Sports Complex, most especially the fitness center,” says Huber.
The project represents a new collaboration between FHG and Choice and with Mr. Douglas Kratz, the owner and developer of the TBK Bank Sports Complex and Mr. Kevin Koellner, owner of Build To Suit, and the developer of the adjacent commercial land. “We are fortunate to have partners who had the foresight to activate this major interchange with a vision so compelling it will draw thousands and thousands of people to the Quad Cities,” Huber says.
