Donation program supports Quad Cities groups

Modern Woodmen of America employees will welcome representatives from Quad Cities charities to their Rock Island-based home office this Friday. Styled as an open-house information fair, the event will allow employees to learn more about local charitable organizations.

The event is tied to Modern Woodmen’s Charity Pledge Plan, in which employees elect to set aside a portion of each paycheck to donate to local charitable organizations. Each dollar is matched by Modern Woodmen. Donations are administered by an employee committee.

In 2017, Modern Woodmen employees donated more than $255,000 to 48 charities through the Charity Pledge Plan, including a $127,760 match.

Details:
Friday, Oct. 26, 8:30 a.m. – 12 p.m.
