August 06, 2018
DAVENPORT, American community in Scott County, Iowa, has been justifiably revered as an example of success and prosperity from the mid-1800's all the way to World War I. Almost everything that they had their hand in - business, farming, politics - turned to gold under their influence. However, there were those among them that took a much more sinister path that led into murder, madness, and suicide.
Come with local author and historian John Brassard Jr. as he leads you down this dark road into a murkier part of Scott County's past. The program will occur on Sun Sept 23rd at 2 PM at the German American Heritage Center.

The program is included with general admission:
$5 for Adults
$4 for Seniors
$3 for Children
FREE for members

The German American Heritage Center is open on Tuesdays-Saturdays 10-4 and on Sundays from 12-4; closed on Mondays. For more information on current exhibitions and connected programming please call 563-322-8844, visit our website at gahc.org and like us on Facebook.
