American Power Systems, Inc. Announces New Internship & 2019 Scholarship Details

DAVENPORT—Hey there, STEM students! American Power Systems, Inc. has two invitations for you. The local manufacturer of mobile power systems is announcing a new internship program and calling for applications for its 2019 Thomas K. Evans Memorial Scholarship. Details about each opportunity appear below.

2019 Thomas K. Evans Memorial Scholarship

Quad-Cities students planning to enter college for the first time in fall 2019 to study science, technology, engineering or math now may apply for the Thomas K. Evans Memorial Scholarship. The scholarship will provide a $5,000 award to one exemplary student. Applications are due at noon May 1, 2019, and the recipient is expected to be announced in July 2019. The scholarship was created in 2017 in memory of the late Thomas K. Evans, who founded American Power Systems, Inc. Product Engineering Internship Opportunity

American Power Systems, Inc. has created a new Product Engineering Internship opportunity for summer 2019.  The Product Engineering intern will put her or his educational experience to work in a real-world, niche manufacturing environment on a full-time basis. Applicants must be pursuing a degree in an applicable field with a projected graduation date of 2020 or earlier and have a cumulative GPA of 2.8 or better. The Product Engineering intern will be compensated in accordance with the benchmark identified by the National Authority for Colleges and Employers (NACE).
