Modern Woodmen employees to prepare backpacks with supplies for local schools

On Friday, June 29, employees at Modern Woodmen of America’s home office in Rock Island, Illinois, will prepare 450 backpacks filled with school supplies to donate to local schools.
The backpacks will include items for elementary school students, including pencils, crayons, markers and notebooks. Employees will also craft encouraging letters for the young students and thank-you letters for area teachers.
The media is invited to participate in this event. A guest speaker will kick off the activity at 1:15 p.m., 2 p.m., and 2:45 p.m. Employees will be available to interview.
