Quad Cities American Heart Association - Go Red for Women Success!
1 in 3 women die from cardiovascular disease - more than all cancers combined.
That's why the Quad Cities Go Red For Women Luncheon started 15 years ago. The event which was chaired by Lesa Buck, of Ruhl & Ruhl, was last Thursday, November 1st, at The RiverCenter. Riane Leib, Corporate Events Director - Quad Cities American Heart Association, reported that over 300 women and men throughout the QCA celebrated that milestone and go red to raise awareness and money to fight heart disease. Attendees learned about cardiovascular disease from Dr Rafat Padaria of Cardiovascular Medicine, they heard the real life story of a survivor and they were inspired and influenced by a community of professionals who embrace healthy living in the Quad Cities. In addition, the mobile bidding by Ruhl & Ruhl allowed guests to bid in a silent auction where many Quad Cities supporters donated to the cause. With the holiday season upon us, show your support, help us to inspire, influence and educate the people in your life.
