WQPT’s Ready To Learn Early Childhood Conference April 21

MOLINE, ILLINOIS –WQPT along with our conference partners invite you join us for a morning of workshops for Early Childhood professionals, parents, childcare providers and others. This annual conference has become a tradition since 1995 in eastern Iowa and western offering early childhood educators and others the opportunity to get together and learn important, up-to-date information in their field and receive professional development credit.
The conference is scheduled for Saturday, April 21 at Western Illinois University – Quad Cities located at 3300 River Drive, Moline from 9:00am – 12:30pm (doors open at 8am).
A $25 registration fee includes a light breakfast, a free book, and the chance to win door prizes.  Participants will also receive training certificates for 3 hours of credit. 
Individuals who serve low-income students* may request a sponsored registration, made possible by Quad City Bank and Trust. *Simply certify that 65% or more of the children served are low-income. (A limited number of sponsored registrations are available, and will be offered on a first-come, first served basis.)
Professional Development Hours are available that day for an additional fee of $25.00 from the Rock Island County Regional Office of Education as well as Continuing Education Hours and CEU’s from Scott County Community College/Eastern Iowa Community Colleges for $20.00.
Seminar topics include “ACES and the Importance of Connecting with Children,” “Are Your Students Ready to Learn,” and “Turning Everyday Moments into Teaching Moments” are just a sample of the 20 plus workshops offered.
