DESCRIPTION:Please help greet the American Queen Steamboat Company as they dock for the day in the Quad Cities.  They have contracted with several of our attractions throughout the Quad Cities (Village of East Davenport\, Hotel Blackhawk\, Figge\, QC Botanical Center\, JD Commons & JD Homes) for tours.  The boat also contracts motorcoaches and runs non-stop loops around the QC from 8:30am to 4:00pm to each of the listed designated stops. Passengers who book these Mississippi River Cruises are ready to spend\, are from all over the US and world (California\, New Zealand\, Germany\, Montana – to name a few) and some prefer to wonder around for eight hours\, walking or using taxis verses taking the motorcoach tour to the pre-designated locations.  There are 385-400 passengers per boat stop. Along with this\, the City of Davenport is providing a Dixie Jazz band and putting up welcome banners.  The Quad Cities Convention & Visitors Bureau will have an on-site mobile visitor center at the dock to welcome and assist the passengers with Quad Cities information.
