DESCRIPTION:As one of the largest public projects in the country\, the I-74 Mississippi River Bridge project will be a catalyst to driving new investment in our region. The $1.2 billion new bridge is transforming our region\, benefiting the Quad Cities' economy\, quality of life\, connectivity and image. \n\n\n\nJoin us at AMp Up for an inside look at the construction progress and how it is impacting the development of downtown Bettendorf and Moline.\n \n\nFeatured speakers:\n\n\n\nDecker Ploehn\, Bettendorf City Administrator and Lisa Kotter\, Moline City Administrator will highlight development and how the bridge is changing our downtown landscape.\n\nPresenting on the construction project is George Ryan\, Corridor Manager for the I-74 River Bridge.\nPrior to joining Wood Environment and Infrastructure Solutions\, George performed multiple roles for the Illinois Department of Transportation during a 34-year career.  His expertise includes facilitating communication and cooperation in the design\, construction\, and maintenance areas while achieving and preserving the best highway system possible within available resources. He has been involved in the preliminary design\, design and construction of numerous major projects.
