SUMMARY:AMp Up Morning Networking: COVID-19 Pivots and Lessons Learned
DESCRIPTION:AMp Up Morning Networking: COVID-19 Pivots and Lessons Learned\n\nWednesday\, July 15 | 8:30-9:30 AM\n\nRhythm City Casino Resort\n\nWhen the coronavirus pandemic hit the Quad Cities\, it affected businesses of all sizes and industries. Many owners were forced to make the difficult decision to stay open with significant staffing changes or temporarily cease operations to weather the storm.\n\nAmong the many businesses that effectively navigated the onset of these uncertain times\, Chamber members Grace Technologies\, Front Street Pub & Eatery and Sweet Tooth Snacks shifted their business models to stay relevant and keep production going. \n\nJoin us as we hear from each business leader who pivoted their operations to survive and in some cases thrive during COVID-19. Panelists will share strategies that worked and lessons learned.\n\nMeet our speakers:\n\n\n	Bryan Van Itallie\, COO | Grace Technologies | Amid critical shortages of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)\, Grace Technologies\, a manufacturer of electrical safety products\, stepped up by producing plastic face shields for health care workers on the frontlines of the fight against COVID-19.\n\n\n\n	Tim Baldwin\, Owner | Front Street Pub & Eatery\, Democrat Lofts and Bluffstone | In addition to offering curbside pickup service\, Front Street launched a QR code menu and developed a new process to make customer-server interactions as contactless as possible.\n\n\n\n	Jody Britton\, CEO | Sweet Tooth Snacks | When contracts with national retailers were cut back\, the destination for popcorn and all things snacking went from supplying gift baskets to big-box stores around the country to providing personal and corporate gifts directly to consumers. By the time Easter rolled around\, Britton made enough new business-to-consumer sales to hire a new employee to manage that branch of Sweet Tooth Snacks. \n\n\nEnhanced sanitation measures for in-person events\n\nWe are very excited to host in-person events again and want to ensure everyone has the confidence to make the most of attending Chamber events. We will be following the guidelines for Iowa and Illinois along with the protocols for each event venue. We ask that attendees follow these guidelines\, too. Learn more about our enhanced sanitation measures.\n\n\n	Masks are strongly encouraged\; once seated\, attendees may remove it for food and beverage service. \n\n\n\n	Air-fives are the best greetings since handshakes are not allowed at this time.\n\n\n\n	Attendees are required to adhere to social distancing guidelines at registration\, while networking and throughout the rest of the event. \n	Maximum six seats at each table\, and tables will be placed six feet apart. \n	Hand sanitizer will be placed on each registration table and all attendee tables.\n\n\nThe in-person capacity for this event is 240 people.
