SUMMARY:AMp Up Morning Networking: Tomorrow's Workforce
DESCRIPTION:AMp Up Morning Networking\n\nWednesday\, November 20th | 7:30 - 8:30 AM\n\nStoney Creek Hotel & Conference Center | Moline\, IL\n\n\n\nAll business leaders have similar concerns - hiring skilled employees\, finding customers who can afford their goods and services and operating in an environment that spurs innovation and economic vitality. However\, nearly half of our young people in the Quad Cities aren't developing the skills and knowledge they need to fill the jobs of tomorrow.\n\n\n\nThe good news is we know what we can do. Early childhood development is quality workforce development. The bad news is we aren't doing it enough. What's worse\, other communities are and they're pulling ahead of us. Join Rene Gellerman\, President & CEO\, United Way Quad Cities\; Melissa Pepper\, Women United Co-Chair/President\, Total Solutions\; and Marcy Mendenhall\, President & CEO\, SAL Family and Community Services\, to explore the overwhelming research that tells us where to start.\n\n\n\n\n\nRene Gellerman\n\nPresident & CEO\, United Way Quad Cities\n\n\n\n\n\nMelissa Pepper\n\nCo-Chair/President\, Women United | Total Solutions\n\n\n\n\n\nMarcy Mendenhall\n\nPresident & CEO\, SAL Family and Community Services\n\n\n\nThe Chamber is rolling out a series of new events and no longer offers complimentary passes as part of your membership.
