DESCRIPTION:On Tuesday\, August 22 at 12:00pm a groundbreaking ceremony will be held to mark the start of construction on a new 7\,000 sq. ft. building that will house Crawford Brew Works and Healthy Habits Bicycle Shop. The site is located at 3659 Devils Glen Rd. in Bettendorf\, just south of the Tanglefoot intersection on the East side of Devils Glen\n\n \n\nThe brewery will occupy half of the newly constructed space. The facility will also feature a lower level production area. The anticipated opening is winter of 2017-18. Crawford Brew Works will offer a number of flagship beers and seasonal options. \n\n\n\nThe brewery will feature a brewhouse and fermenters manufactured by Crawford Company Brewing Equipment. The brewery will also serve as a show room for Crawford's equipment\, which is manufactured in Rock Island\, IL and is 100% Made In The USA. The brewery will have both indoor and outdoor seating and will accommodate groups of various sizes. The brewery also plans to host special events and private functions. Crawford Brew Works will join a Quad City market that features some of the region's top micro-breweries.\n\n\n\nThe ownership group of the brewery includes Keith Gerks\, Adam Isaacson\, Bob Frink\, Ian Frink\, and Bruce Grell. The business is a separate entity from Crawford Company. The brewery plans to create a total of 10 new jobs.\n\n\n\nHealthy Habits will occupy the other half of the space at the newly constructed building. The bike shop\, owned by Grell\, will be re-locating into the new space from a current location also on Devils Glen Road. Healthy Habits is a one-stop shop for all things related to bicycles\, offering sales\, full service\, and bike fittings on site. \n\n\n\nFor over two decades\, Healthy Habits has been a staple in the Quad Cities community\, operating a premier bike shop. The shop is an authorized Specialized\, Salsa\, and Santa Cruz dealer. The shop sells various types of road\, mountain\, cyclocross\, commuter\, children's bikes and more. The shop also organizes and hosts regular weekly rides on area roads and gravel.\n\n\n\nThe "Bike and Brew" site will also have access to the Bettendorf Bike Path. Build To Suit has been named general contractor for the project and Design Build by Architects has also participated.
