DESCRIPTION:On April 20\, 2024\, all kids are invited to Journey the World\, an annual event hosted by Girl Scouts. Attendees will visit a variety of interactive booths representing different countries. Through art\, music\, dancing\, and more\, kids will discover an appreciation for other cultures. At check-in\, kids will receive passports and begin their journeys! The Bend XPO will be filled with interactive activities for kids\, like creating snowballs indoors\, making s' mores\, and flying kites. Star Labs will help kids see constellations and the night sky worldwide. Piglets Pups will have therapy dogs for kids to meet. John Deere is bringing a combine and its Augmented Reality Welding Simulator. And there will be a giant dance party! Attendees do not need to be members of Girl Scouts\, but girls in grades K-12 are invited to register or renew their memberships at the event. New and renewed members will receive a free shirt and superhero cape to showcase their Girl Scout powers! Journey the World is from 12:00-4:00 p.m. at The Bend XPO in East Moline\, Illinois. Attendees can register in advance at www.GirlSocutsToday.org. Advance tickets are $10/youth and $5/adult. Walk-in tickets are $15/youth and $15/adult.
