She spent 15 years in the federal market\, with the bulk of her career spent in contracting. Her most notable contribution while working for the Army was supporting contingency operations in Kuwait\, Iraq and Afghanistan\, responsible for purchasing services ranging from laundry to security operations. In 2014\, Melissa joined CIRAS Iowa State University\, where she was able to use her knowledge of government processes\, systems and regulations to help businesses. She currently assists businesses in solving supply chain issues and cybersecurity compliance. She is passionate about helping others and connecting people to the tools they need to be successful.
