After researching numerous possibilities\, the district purchased the 37\,355 square foot facility\, previously used as a medical office complex\, for $2.5 million. Renovations began on the new location in May of this year. Construction crews worked double shifts to complete the project before the start of the 2014-2015 school year. Mid City High has been designed as a 21st - century learning environment\, offering opportunities to easily change classroom configurations from the traditional classroom setting to a collaborative learning space that's ideal for project team based learning.
