DESCRIPTION:Gale Mote\n\n\n\nThe ability to be an effective coach is a valued and critical skill for today's leaders.  Today's workforce expects frequent feedback. Employees want and deserve the guidance nec\n\nssary to improve their performance\, accomplishing individual and organizational goals.\n\n\n\nIn this dynamic presentation\, Gale Mote will share practical techniques to be an effective coach.  Participants will explore a model to help them prepare for and participate in successful coaching conversations.  We will also discuss what makes it difficult to be a coach along with suggestions on how to overcome these obstacles.\n \n\n\n\nAbout the speaker: In 2014\, Gale received one of only four President and Provost Awards for Teaching Excellence from the University of Iowa. Gale has been twice honored by the YWCA Tribute to Women of Achievement. In 2005\, she was awarded the Advanced Entrepreneur Award from Women Entrepreneurs in Cedar Rapids\, IA. Gale is a four time award winner for the Best of Cedar Rapids Award in the Industrial & Labor Consulting Services category by the U.S. Commerce Association (USCA).\n\n\n\n \n\n\n\nGale is a Certified Professional in Learning and Performance (CPLP ) by the Association forTalent Development (ATD) and is also an ATD Master Performance Consultant . In addition\, Gale is a Certified Coach and Facilitator for EQ-i 2.0 \, a psychometric assessment which measures emotional intelligence and how it can impact people and the workplace. Gale is also an Authorized Partner with Five Behaviors of a Cohesive Team  and is an Everything DiSC  Authorized Partner. Everything DiSC is a transformational tool to help you understand yourself and others to have more effective relationships. She is a graduate of Coe College with multiple degrees in Business\, Economics\, and Education. Gale holds a Masters in Business Administration from the University of Iowa where she is an Adjunct Lecturer in the Tippie College of Business Professional MBA Program.\n\n\n\n\nDuring the lunch hour\, join YPQC to enhance your personal and professional development skills.
