DESCRIPTION:Please help Pine Hill Cemetery celebrate the dedication of their Praying Hand Carving’s on Friday\, June 14th at 10:30am – Located at 1530 E. 39th Street\, Davenport (Eastern Avenue to 39th Street).\nIn 1854\, Pine Hill Cemetery was laid out in lots for burial purposes with the first burial occurring in 1855. In 1920 a unification of these sections was effected by nine prominent Davenport and Scott County people interested in the cemetery.  Since this \ntime Pine Hill Cemetery has been managed by a Board of Directors\, on a volunteer basis. The Praying Hands Wood carvings were created by Thom Gleich\, made possible by donations and investments of Pine Hill Cemetery.\nFor more information\, please visit www.pinehillcemeterydavenport.com.
