SUMMARY:Quad Cities Chamber | Manufacturing Hub Huddle
DESCRIPTION:Quad Cities Chamber | Manufacturing Hub Huddle: Navigating the Artificial Intelligence Revolution in Industrial Predictive Maintenance\nQuad Cities Chamber| Manufacturing Hub Huddle \n\nThursday\, January 18 | 7 - 8:15 a.m.\n\nGrace Technologies \n\n$15 Member | $25 Non-member\n\n\n\nLooking to keep up with the ever-changing landscape of artificial intelligence (AI) applications in manufacturing? We are too! Join us at our January Hub Huddle\, organized in collaboration with Grace Technologies\, where we?re exploring the transformation of industrial predictive maintenance (PdM) by AI and machine learning (ML). \n\n\n\nNot familiar with these concepts? That's not a problem. We'll start with a foundational understanding of the history of PdM and then explore the crucial role that AI and ML can play in modern PdM approaches.\n\n\n\nYou'll learn about the various applications of AI and ML in PdM\, from early failure detection to optimized maintenance scheduling\, and will be introduced to emerging trends like edge computing and digital twin technology. \n\n\n\nThe session addresses potential challenges in AI/ML adoption and offers best practice insights for successful implementation. We'll illustrate these concepts with real-world examples\, followed by an interactive Q&A session. \n\n\n\nThis is your opportunity to get immersed in the world of AI and ML applied to manufacturing so that you can take your work or business to the next level\, while also becoming more connected to manufacturing leaders in the Quad Cities. Let's revolutionize the way we think about manufacturing and propel our region forward together.\n\n\n\nMeet our Speaker\n\nDr. Andy Zimmerman\, CTO\, has spent the past 15 years developing wireless sensing and cloud-based health monitoring systems for both civil infrastructure and industrial machinery. Dr. Zimmerman holds a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering and a M.S.E. in Computer Science & Engineering from the University of Michigan\, and started his own company\, Civionics\, in 2009 to help transition his structural health monitoring research from lab to industry.\n\nAfter building a proprietary cloud-based wireless predictive maintenance platform on the back of grants and contracts from DoD\, DHS\, NSF\, USDOT\, and other corporate clients\, Dr. Zimmerman sold Civionics' IP to Grace Technologies in 2018\, and took a position as the Grace CTO. Since then\, he has helped shape Grace's technology strategy\, managed the Grace engineering department\, and served as the primary architect and technical lead for the GraceSense line of Predictive Maintenance and Industrial Internet of Things technologies. \n\n\n\nAbout the Manufacturing Hub: \n\nThe Quad Cities Chamber is one of four Illinois Defense Manufacturing Consortium (ILDMC) community members who share a grant to help local manufacturing companies and defense contractors grow through Manufacturing Hub programs\, events\, and services focused on opportunities and issues\, operational excellence\, innovative technology\, and workforce. \n\n\n	\n	Hub Huddles are bi-monthly morning sessions to connect on topics most pressing for manufacturers and to meet peers\, partners\, and suppliers critical for business growth. \n	\n\n\n\n\nThe Quad Cities Chamber strives to host inclusive and accessible events that enable all individuals to engage fully. For event assistance or additional information\, please contact:\n\n\n\nSamantha Jackson\n\nPhone: 563.823.2695\n\nEmail: sjackson@quadcitieschamber.com
