DESCRIPTION:Please join Quad City International Airport in celebrating their expansion on Tuesday\, August 20th at 9:00 a.m.  The Quad City International Airport continues to grow and improve their infrastructure expansion of on-site facilities. The Snow Removal Equipment Building Expansion celebrated today\, showcases the airport authority's ability to house their snow removal equipment in a safe\, efficient manner\, and keep it in top repair for the winter season. The Airfield Maintenance department is proud to have longevity with their employees. Many have been with the department for 15\, 20\, 25+ years. There is a sense of pride with this team (a.k.a. the "Snow Buzzards") for keeping the runways at the QCIA open during winter snow events.  Directions to Location:The Airfield Maintenance Building is located to the left\, off of the airport frontage road at the stoplight intersection of I-74 & Hwy. 6. Once through the intersection\, turn left when you see the sign for Maintenance/Public Safety. You will see a small parking lot straight ahead with a large boulder in the landscaping. Proceed to the east door of the maintenance building where you will be greeted.
