Amana Care Walk-In Clinic\, 2162 W. Kimberly Rd. Davenport\, IA 52806\, will host a ribbon cutting ceremony on August 27th at 4pm to celebrate their grand opening. An Open House will follow until 8pm to tour the facility\, meet the staff and learn more about their services. \;
An urgent-care clinic\, such as the Amana Care Walk-In Clinic\, fills the medical-care niche between the hospital emergency department and the medical provider's office. The Clinic serves an area of West Davenport that previously did not have a clinic to meet the medical-care needs of its residents and businesses.
"Someone with an injury or illness that needs urgent attention but doesn't seem to require emergency treatment can walk right into the Amana Care Walk-In Clinic \;- no appointment needed\," explained M. Walid Alsheika\, M.D.\, the clinic's medical director.
Walk-in clinics are intended for patients who need urgent care before or after their regular Primary Care Provider's office hours \;- or for someone who doesn't have a medical provider\, Dr. Alsheika added.
The Amana Care Clinic's hours of operation are 7 a.m.-7 p.m. Monday-Friday and 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays. To provide more complete service to its walk-in patients\, it operates X-ray and laboratory facilities on-site during those hours.
