Bowe Machine\, 2527 State St. Bettendorf\, IA 52722\, will host a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony on Thursday\, August 6th at 10am to celebrate the completion of their expansion. \;
Bowe Machine’s market has continued to grow\, and\, at times\, demand has exceeded our capacity\, forcing us to turn away work that we haven’t been able to take on. \; This led to the decision that the company needed additional production space. Last summer\, a group of older buildings\, used mainly for storage\, were demolished to make way for the impressive new 32\,000 square foot building that stands in their place. \; In addition to improving the curb appeal along State Street\, the new structure adds much-needed floor space for machining\, welding and assembly\, storage\, and loading. \; It features some underground storage space\, as well as two 40-ton and two 10-ton cranes which allow us to move material throughout the space and also to load finished parts onto trucks in-house. \; The building will also house our newest machine\, which will be the largest milling machine in the area. \; Due to arrive in October and then be set up and operational in December\, we expect the mill to be in great demand. \; Its massive size will allow us to handle projects that customers currently have to send out of the Quad Cities area for machining.
