Boys &\; Girls Club of the Mississippi Valley\, 1122 5th Ave Moline\, IL 61265\, will host a ribbon cutting ceremony on September 28th at 4:00pm to celebrate the new Visual &\; Performing Arts Center located at their Teen Center.
In May of 2013\, the Boys &\; Girls Clubs of the Mississippi Valley began the renovation of this space. The HeART of It wine tasting and art show was first fundraising event held at the Visual and Performing Arts Center on Saturday\, February 21st of 2015. Since then the Club members and community groups have used the center for different activities\, classes and events\, with many more to come in the future. The priority is to provide the members with a place to learn and enrich their passion as they experience new schemas of art forms.
The Staff and Club members of the Boys &\; Girls Clubs are so excited to have the Visual &\; Performing Arts Center part of the The Club\, and equally as excited there is a new mural in the space. The Teen members along with local artist Sarah Robb planned and painted a mural that represents the 5 Core Program Areas of the Boys &\; Girls Clubs and reflects some Quad City elements. \; Members had so much fun painting the mural while learning new techniques and tricks from Sarah.
