An open house will take place until 6:00pm.\n\n \n\nBy completely remodeling a shuttered nursing home closed years ago\, Vera French Pine Meadows provides a 15-bed residential care facility for persons experiencing persistent mental illness featuring best-practice design concepts in an individualized care setting for long-term treatment.  It's the final stage in Vera French's three-year plans to phase out the historic Pine Knoll facility in order to comply with federal rules prohibiting institutionalization for residential services funded by Medicaid.
