DESCRIPTION:The Quad Cities Manufacturing Innovation Hub is pleased to welcome Ms. Deborah "Deb" Crumity\, Procurement Center Representative (PCR)\, Area IV\, and Ms. Mariana Pardo\, Director\, HUBZone Program from  the U.S. Small Business Administration Office of Government Contracting\, for a Q&A session about the SBA's Historically Underutilized Business (HUB) Zone program immediately following the SBA's HUBZone webinar series on Wednesday\, March 7.\n\n \n\nWatch the webinar from the Quad Cities Chamber's Arconic Room in Davenport and then stay to hear more from Ms. Pardo and Ms. Crumity!  Ms. Crumity will discuss her role in the acquisition process and how she can help small businesses in the area increase their share of Federal procurement awards.\n\n \n\n1-2 p.m.    Webinar: "Understanding How HUBZones are Designated"\n\nSmall businesses will learn how areas become designated as HUBZones. \n\n \n\n2-3 p.m.    Q&A regarding HUBZone Program with Ms. Pardo & Ms. Crumity\n\n \n\nThe U. S. Small Business Administration Office of Government Contracting has Ps PCRs disbursed in six geographical areas of the United States and its territory.  SBA PCR for Rock Island Arsenal has two major procurement activities   Army Contracting Command (ACC) and U. S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE)   where the SBA PCR performs complete reviews of purchase requisitions and assists Small Business Specialists with the SB program oversight.
