DESCRIPTION:The Tax Cuts and Jobs Act of 2017 had increased the standard deduction\, which was expected to reduce the number of individuals who itemize their tax deductions and was expected to reduce charitable giving in the future. Dr. Finley will discuss possible amendments to the Internal Revenue Code to promote charitable giving\, which were discussed in her recent article\, "Reforming the Charitable Contribution Tax Deduction: Accounting for Random Acts of Charity" in the William & Mary Business Law Review. \n\n\n\nPresented by Dr. Janene Finley\, LL.M\, Ph.D\, J.D\, CPA\, St. Ambrose University\n\n\n\nCost is free for Association of Fundraising Professionals IL\, Quad Cities Chapter members and $10 for non-members. \n\n\n\nPlease feel free to bring your lunch.
