DESCRIPTION:An Evening Celebrating Community Partnerships Black Hawk College Foundation will transport you to 1941\, the year the United Service Organizations (USO) was founded. For 71 years Black Hawk College has provided educational opportunities for service members and veterans in the Quad Cities. Join us as we celebrate community partnerships and showcase our shared mission - supporting area military\, veterans\, and their families. Get into the spirit with swing-style musical entertainment and 1940's era decor and attire. Proceeds from this unique event will benefit USO of Illinois\, Black Hawk College Veterans Resource Center\, and the Foundation's Black Hawk Excellence Fund - an endowed fund established through The Moline Foundation's Community Endowment Challenge. The program features keynote speaker William Albracht\, author and U.S. Army veteran. Albracht's books will be available for purchase at the event. Entertainment includes musical performances by The Manny Lopez Big Band\, Hersong\, and a BHC Jazz musician soloist. Guests may participate in a charity Wine Pull and Silent Auction. Business/cocktail attire welcome. 1940's era vintage attire encouraged. Catered by DeBord Catering. Cash bar available.
