DESCRIPTION:The Day of Caring is a Community-wide day of hands-on volunteering in which United Way brings together volunteer teams to take action\, helping those in need\, by completing projects for area non-profitorganizations to help change lives and create a stronger community.  \nDay of Caring teams are madeup of volunteers from local businesses\, corporations\, union groups\, donors\, neighborhoods and peoplejust wanting to get involved. Volunteer registration opens in July.  \nProjects are scheduled as half-day (9:30am - 12:30pm or 12:30pm - 3:30pm) or full-day projects (9:30am - 3:30pm). All projectssubmitted must be pre-approved by United Way.
