Rouse Consulting Group, Inc. (RCG), a local, service-based, IT consulting firm and Managed Service Provider, is currently seeking a full time Network Engineer to work as a key member of its support team.

  • The support of desktops and servers including application connectivity.
  • Perform remote troubleshooting through diagnostic techniques and pertinent questions.
  • Determine the best solution based on the issue, details provided by customer, and best practice documents.
  • Work with the customer through the problem-solving process using remote access software.
  • Advising and implementing system enhancements (software and hardware updates).
  • Document and record troubleshooting steps and resolution through a ticketing system.
  • Follow up and update customer on status and resolution.
  • Responsible for other duties as assigned.
  • 2 plus years of system administration experience required.
  • Extensive knowledge of current Windows operating systems.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office, and Office 365.
  • Knowledge of current technological developments and/or trends.
  • Experience with virtualization technologies (Hyper-v, VMWare, Etc...) is a plus
  • Experience with switching and firewall is a plus
  • Experience with Microsoft server related technologies: Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, etc.
  • Experience with administration of Microsoft Office 365 (Exchange Online, SharePoint).
  • Organized individual who can manage multiple tasks under pressure.
  • Good oral communication, interpersonal skills, and technical writing skills with a willingness to document all work performed.
  • A team player that can effectively work with other IT teams and users to define needs, coordinate integration, and provide training, with a strong focus on customer service.
  • Ability to investigate and analyze information, draw conclusions, and solve problems.
  • Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) or higher preferred.
