About Us

LifeServe Blood Center is a non-profit, community-based blood center that has served the needs of local hospitals and patients in our regions since 1947. As one of the 15 largest blood centers in the country, LifeServe provides blood products to 175 hospitals primarily in Iowa, South Dakota, Nebraska, and Illinois. Successful decades-long partnerships with these medical centers secured LifeServe a reputation as a trusted local blood center.

Your donation with LifeServe will help save your neighbor, a friend, family member or a stranger in your community! When donors donate with another blood collection organization within our community, their local donation does not support their local hospital. Only blood collected by LifeServe Blood Center is provided to our local hospitals.

We need 200,000 community members to donate each year to ensure our local hospital patients have the blood products they need. In order to meet that goal, LifeServe currently has 14 Donor Center locations and hosts mobile blood drives six days a week in the communities we serve.
