Thrifty Nickel has been a member of the Quad City community since April 1982, producing a weekly advertising publication. Thrifty Nickel is demand distributed at over 800 locations in the Quad Cities and as far north as Clinton, IA; south to Galesburg, IL; east to Kewanee, IL; and west to Muscatine, IA; circulated in grocery stores, convenient stores and other high traffic outlets every Thursday. They added home delivery to the Iowa Quad Cities in May 2002. Thrifty Nickel developed the Santa for Seniors program, in cooperation with Eagle Food Centers, approximately 5 years ago, remembering seniors at Christmas, with a small gift that means as much to the giver as to the recipient. They also produce and distribute the Wheels For You bi-weekly magazine. Changing the way you buy or sell your next car, truck, RV, boat or cycle. They have grown into two zones (North and South) reaching into Wisconsin and South to Burlington, IA and Macomb, IL.
