Business Hours 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. Some facilities open on Saturdays. Please call. The Waste Commission of Scott County is an inter-governmental agency that operates the Scott Area Landfill, Scott Area Recycling Center, Household Hazardous Material Facilities, and Electronics Recovery Center. The Commission helps businesses dispose of special waste such as computers, hard drives, copiers, fluorescent light bulbs and other hard-to-handle items in an environmentally sound and economically feasible manner.
