Company Registration is Now Open for the 2022 Quad Cities Corporate Games
Engage Employees and Build Company Pride through Metro Area Competition

The second annual Quad Cities Corporate Games (QCCG), a project of the Iowa Sports Foundation in partnership with Visit Quad Cities and the Bettendorf, Davenport, Moline and Rock Island Parks and Recreation Departments, will be held June 1 – July 31, 2022. Companies can now register to secure their spot in this annual event.

Company pride, corporate wellness, employee engagement and team-building are all benefits for companies on both sides of the Mississippi River participating in the bi-state Quad Cities Corporate Games.

The inaugural Quad Cities Corporate Games saw 21 companies and over 1,000 participants. Participation is expected to grow in 2022, and a limit of 50 companies able to participate has been set to provide the best possible experience.

“Last year’s inaugural Quad Cities Corporate Games was a resounding success, and we look forward to year two,” said Dave Herrell, President and CEO, Visit Quad Cities. “The corporate games initiative activates our community, builds corporate camaraderie, creates health & wellness opportunities, and promotes teamwork. Visit Quad Cities is aligned with the Iowa Sports Foundation (ISF) to develop this regional event as we all collectively tackle talent attraction/retention and improve civic pride. We encourage all private businesses and the public sector to get involved with this fun opportunity to engage fellow Quad Citizens.”

Employees will have the opportunity to take part in over 20 different events during the months of June and July. All events will be held in the evenings and on weekends.
Events range from competitive team sports to non-competitive participation activities, including online challenges that can be completed at the participants’ worksites.

“The Quad Cities Corporate Games achieved tremendous success in the inaugural year of the games,” said Chuck Long, CEO of the Iowa Sports Foundation. “We believe the Corporate Games model will continue to excel in the Quad Cities area and we anticipate the number of participating companies to increase. We’re looking forward to year two with the Quad Cities Corporate Games!”

Entry fees, paid by the participating company, are based on the number of people employed in the Quad Cities area. Employees do not pay to participate in QCCG sports and events.
Participating companies are split into divisions based on general company size. Points are awarded throughout the competition based on sport/event placing, participation and volunteerism.  The top companies in each division will receive recognition, with the winning company in each division receiving the coveted Corporate Games Cup.

Division winners from 2021 include Rock Valley Physical Therapy from division 1 and Quad City Bank & Trust from division 2.

“Our experience in the inaugural QC Corporate Games was awesome,” said an employee of Quad City Bank & Trust. “Particularly coming out of a pandemic, our employees were eager and excited to get out and interact with coworkers and members of the community in such a fun and exciting way! The competition was friendly and there was literally something for EVERYONE! We are excited to make this an annual tradition at QCBT”
Registration will take place through March 1, 2022 and is limited to the first 50 companies. For more information or to register a company, visit https://qccorporategames.org/
