AMp Up Morning Networking: Keep It QC | An inside look at two thriving QC businesses
Wednesday, November 17 | 8:30-9:30 AM
Bally’s Quad Cities | Rock Island, IL
8:00 AM | Registration, Breakfast & Networking!
8:30 - 9:30 AM | Program
In the spirit of Keep It QC, a movement about the power of doing business locally to advance the Quad Cities' regional economy, the Chamber is proud to present a program that celebrates the success stories of two thriving local and family-owned businesses in our community.
Key Takeaways:
-
Mississippi River Distilling Company: This family-owned and operated company was started in 2010 as a unique idea between two brothers. Their little distillery in LeClaire has grown into one of the top craft distilleries in the country. Their commitment to authentic craft spirits hasn’t changed over the years and their hometown roots will always be the cornerstone of their growing business.
Ryan Burchett will discuss leveraging local in a crowded marketplace, thinking big with a small footprint and keeping a community focus to gain key partnerships. - WaterMark Corners: Celebrating 22 years in business, WaterMark Corners is a gift and stationery store owned by the dynamic mother-daughter duo, who travel all over the country to find new items that are innovative, intriguing and inspiring. In 2017, Forbes Magazine named WaterMark Corners 1 of 5 top Mainstreet businesses in the country because of our innovative approach to Facebook marketing.
Join us as we hear from representatives from each of these companies. Speakers will provide an inside look at their operations, including best practices and lessons learned.
Meet our speakers:
Ryan Burchett | Owner/Distiller, Mississippi River Distilling Company
Ryan Burchett is co-owner and distiller at Mississippi River Distilling Company in LeClaire. After leaving his suit and tie behind at the TV weather desk, Ryan has been 'keeping it local' with spirits made from local grains since 2010. The distillery's community focus has allowed them to grow and thrive. Most recently, the distillery opened a new "Celebration Center" in downtown LeClaire with over 9,000 square feet of event space overlooking the river.
Amy Trimble | Owner, WaterMark Corners
Amy Trimble is co-owner of WaterMark Corners in downtown Moline. Celebrating 23 years in business as a gift and stationery store, WaterMark Corners recently announced the addition of the Corner Bar to expand their business model and enhance customers’ shopping experiences.
In 2017, Forbes Magazine named WaterMark Corners 1 of 5 top Mainstreet businesses in the country because of their innovative approach to Facebook Marketing.
