The mission of ATHENA International is "to support, develop and honor women leaders; to inspire women to achieve their full potential; and to create balance in leadership worldwide."  Women's Connection and Quad Cities Chamber of Commerce present the ATHENA Awards program to elevate and honor women who are setting a gold standard in their business and community leadership, and who are helping to bring along the next generation of women leaders.

Presented in partnership by Women's Connection and the Quad Cities Chamber of Commerce, the Athena Awards Event, in affiliation with Athena International, elevates and honors women who are setting a gold standard in the business and community leadership, and who are helping to bring along the next generation of women leaders. Since 1982, more than 6,000 Athena Awards have been presented by Athena International in more than 500 communities internationally.
