The Quad Cities Manufacturing Innovation Hub will co-host a Cybersecurity Tech Huddle with the Quad Cities Cybersecurity Alliance and IEEE about “Blockchain and Cryptocurrency,” from 4-5 p.m., Tuesday, June 19. The event will be held in the Arconic Room at the Quad Cities Chamber, 331 W. 3rd St., Davenport, Iowa. An option for attendance via an online webinar will be available. Blockchain is an innovative technology which is fairly young but has the potential to be applied in many areas of our society from healthcare security to election assurance. Featured presenter Brandon Goldman will explain what blockchain is and how it is used for cryptocurrency as well as where he feels the cryptocurrency marketspace is evolving. He will discuss security and privacy concerns and take Q&A. About the speaker: Brandon is a software engineer, entrepreneur, and engineering leader with deep experience in startups. He has spent his entire career working at and with startups, because he thrives in an environment where he can work hard and make an impact. He wants to make the world a better place by developing creative and innovative technological solutions. Online webinar details will be mailed to everyone who has registered BEFORE the event.
