We are thrilled to share an exciting summer event with our community! The Martin Luther King Center (MLK) and The Center for Youth and Family Solutions (CYFS) have proudly partnered to bring Day of Play to the Rock Island area—and we can’t wait to celebrate with you!

International Day of Play is celebrated across the United States to honor play as a fundamental right and an essential part of children’s healthy development and overall well-being. This special evening invites families to come together through open-ended, active play—helping children build resilience, strengthen their mental and physical health, and grow important social skills. The MLK Center works to inspire greatness in the Quad Cities through community-building, education, and service; while striving for a thriving, beloved community rooted in justice, equity, and respect. CYFS empowers those they serve to achieve lasting solutions, guided by the belief that change is possible. Together, MLK and CYFS share a deep commitment to support, unity, and community care. We invite you to join us in becoming the village our children and families need—lifting one another up, strengthening our connections, and having fun along the way!
