Description
Edge Business Series: Human Skills for Future-Ready Leadership featuring Rachel Druckenmiller, Founder & CEO, Unmuted, LLC.
Tuesday, March 3rd | 12:00 - 1:00 p.m.
TaxSlayer Center, Moline
What leadership skills will be needed for the future of work? With the rise of technology and artificial intelligence, human skills will set apart the good leaders from the great. A recent study of over 50,000 managers found human skills to be a greater predictor of leadership effectiveness than technical skills or competence, though the best leaders have both.
This session will inspire and empower you with relatable stories and equip you with practical skills and techniques to improve your performance and relationships. Leaders who implement the skills explored in this session will foster greater collaboration, creativity and connection, and our workplace cultures will be positively impacted because of their future-ready leadership.
What to expect:
- Explore three key skills necessary for effective, future-ready leadership
- Discover strategies for self-awareness that will help you lead by example at work and at home
- Apply a simple framework to personal and professional relationships to foster psychological safety and connection

In her role, Rachel speaks to associations and organizations across the U.S. She loves to bring out the best in organizations and their people and teaches high-performing leaders how to strengthen their soft skills, so they can be more effective, connected and influential. When this happens, performance increases, trust is strengthened, creativity flows, and people are more fulfilled at work and at home.
In 2019, Rachel was recognized as a 40 Under 40 Game Changer by Workforce Magazine, and Employ Humanity named her one of "7 Wellness Leaders Making a Positive Impact" in 2018. She was named the #1 Health Promotion Professional in the United States in 2015 by WELCOA. Rachel is one of the founding members of the international nonprofit, Global Women 4 Wellbeing (GW4W), and speaks to women leaders about how to be more confident and courageous.
