Executives Club Exclusively for Presidents, CEOs and Executives "Transition from Soldier to Civilian"
Featuring Command Sergeant Major (CSM) James Spencer of Army Sustainment Command and Command Sergeant Major (CSM) Jesse Andrews of First Army
"Caring for our soldiers and families is a critical leader task -
not only as they serve in our ranks, but also as they transition
out of uniform and return to American society."
- Gen. Peter W. Chiarelli, Former Army Vice Chief of Staff
Approximately 125,000 soldiers transition out of the Army each year.
Those soldiers move into either reserve component or civilian status. Historically, about two-thirds of transitioning soldiers enter the workforce and the remaining third enroll in a college or trade school. CSM Spencer and CSM Andrews will discuss the importance of a smooth transition to a civilian life for both soldiers and reserve component members, and what the Quad Cities can do to support our military.
