The Quad Cities’ Food Rescue Partnership is excited to announce the full agenda for the free Food Rescue Workshop on September 16, 2026, at YWCA Quad Cities in Rock Island, IL.
 

The workshop will provide an overview of food waste and food insecurity in the Quad Cities, highlighting key challenges and opportunities to address these issues. Industry experts and local Quad Citizens will also share how restaurants and stores are reducing food waste and donating extra food to reduce costs and feed those in need.

For the fourth time, the Food Rescue Partnership event will announce the Quad Cities Food Rescue Warrior and Member of the Year. Nominations are open for local citizens to be recognized for their food rescue efforts.
 

The workshop will take place at YWCA Quad Cities in Rock Island on September 16, 2026 at 9:00 a.m. There is no cost to attend, and the workshop hopes to draw professional food handlers and retail food store staff.
