The NormaLeah Ovarian Cancer Initiative is teaming up with the Quad City Storm during the “Hockey Fights Cancer” game against the Peoria Rivermen on Saturday, February 5th at 7 pm at the TaxSlayer Center. Quad City Storm will donate a portion of all tickets purchased directly through NormaLeah toward ovarian cancer education programs. Tickets for the game are only $17 and available at the NormaLeah offices at 1614 Second Avenue in Rock Island, with $4 from every ticket sold supporting NormaLeah. Tickets will be available for sale during NormaLeah’s Cocoa & Cookies Open House on Saturday, January 29 from 11 am-2 pm or they can be purchased online at bit.ly/StormGameTickets. During the game, NormaLeah will host a table in on the concourse selling BLING4Cancer jewelry and other related items. It will also offer a “Teal-Riffic” selfie station to commemorate “survivorship.” NormaLeah has a reserved section, so attendees are encouraged to wear teal shirts to turn the section teal, our awareness color. Every ticket purchased will be entered into a drawing for a NormaLeah girlpARTs t-shirt, courtesy of Country Financial. As part of the “Hockey Fights Cancer” game, survivors and others are invited to paint their loved ones’ names on the ice on Monday, January 31st from 9 am - 6 pm at the TaxSlayer Center, 1201 River Drive in Moline.
