Hub: Additive Manufacturing Users Gro...
Description
3-D scanning and printing technologies are enhancing not only the ability to create something new, but also to reverse engineer those products that already exist. Hear how a local service bureau, Rapids Reproductions, helps customers meet their reverse engineering, scanning, and 3-D printing needs – all without customers having to invest in new technology themselves!
During this month's users group, see how creating repair parts and products long out of production is now possible. Rapids Reproductions will demonstrate the reverse engineering process and share their lessons learned.
Learn from experts who work with hundreds of customers in multiple industries about how additive manufacturing is dramatically changing traditional design and service processes and how you can take advantage of it.
Pizza will be served beginning at 5:30 p.m. with the program to start at 6 p.m. We look forward to seeing you!
About the Additive Manufacturing Users Group
Additive Manufacturing technology will change the face of manufacturing by replacing future processes and is on pace to emerge as an established trend on shop floors. The Quad Cities Manufacturing Innovation Hub has developed a Technology Roadmap of eight transformative technologies; one of these -- Additive Manufacturing -- has been identified as a breakthrough opportunity that will have an impact on our region's competitiveness. To accelerate our region's learning and investment, an Additive Manufacturing Users Group has been formed.
Why attend? Hear from local experts on best practices of this state-of-the-art technology. No matter what your knowledge level, this night will offer an opportunity to build your understanding of this game-changing technology and its business benefits.
