Introduction to Lean
Presented by Marc Schneider, Project Manager
Iowa State University CIRAS
Join us at the next Hub Huddle to learn the building blocks of Lean, which provides tools and processes to eliminate waste from the manufacturing process, in order to efficiency, effectiveness, and profitability.
Attendees will learn how Lean is defined, the type of wastes Lean looks to address, and how to define if an activity is value-adding to their organization. Marc will also discuss how to define a problem and the toolkit of Lean techniques available to address these problems and basic methodology. The attendee will walk away with a good understanding of high level Lean concepts and prepare them for more in-depth learning on specific Lean tools.
