Hub Huddle: Local Support Available f...
Description
Hub Huddles are an opportunity for manufacturing leaders to share, on a peer-to-peer basis, best practices for growth and strategies to overcoming challenges.
As manufacturing technology changes so do manufacturing workforce needs. Join us at the next Hub Huddle when William F. Pratt, Ph.D., Director of the Western Illinois University School of Engineering, outlines how WIU is preparing for the future success of area businesses by providing the education and training needed for advanced tech positions in additive and other related fields.
Dr. Eric Faierson of the Quad City Manufacturing Laboratory also will be on hand discussing how Western Illinois University supports the QCML, the Quad Cities’ research and development lab in additive and lightweight metals based at the Rock Island Arsenal. The QCML serves the area business community for defense and manufacturing, including those in their supply chains, with technology research and production processes.
The Hub Huddle also will feature Tom Honsa, president of Honsa Ergonomic Technologies, a local business working with additive manufacturing. Tom will give an overview of the company's journey into this technology as well as their business' capabilities.
