Hungry Hobo, 1432 W. Locust St. Davenport, IA 52804, will hold a ribbon cutting ceremony for the grand re-opening of their W. Locust St. location in Davenport on Friday, December 5 at 4:00 p.m. The Hungry Hobo on W. Locust St. opened roughly ten years ago. President and CEO Pryce Boeye stated, “while Hungry Hobo is in the process of expanding our concept in Eastern Iowa, we also need to make sure our stores in the Quad Cities continue to be as inviting as possible.” The sandwich chain was created in 1973 by Jim Gende, Ray Pearson, Joe Gende and Tom Spero. The concept specializes in sliced-to-order and grilled sandwiches, baked potatoes with a variety of toppings, chef-prepared soups, desserts and more.
