InternQC Kick Off Lunch Make "IT" Here - Arts & Culture Panelists: AJ Ademan - Local musician Jessi Black - Quad City Arts Andrew Barkau - Daytrotter The Quad Cities is home to International Jazz Hall of Fame member, Bix Beiderbecke, one of the most influential jazz soloists of the 1920s. Isabel Bloom, a Native Iowa artist once studied under American master Grant Wood and created a unique sculpture process that casts concrete hand-finished to resemble weathered bronze garden sculptures. Buffalo Bill Cody was born in LeClaire, Iowa, in 1846. At the age of 14 Cody worked for the Pony Express and was considered one of the world's most famous people at the time of his death because of his Wild West show that toured throughout the United States, Great Britain and Europe. These iconic figures made "IT" here & artists today are making "IT" here now. Listen to local Young Professionals that are creating new music, art, and supporting local artists in the Quad Cities. Come have some lunch, meet other interns, and learn about the arts and culture of our Quad Cities.
