Meet our Speaker
Vijay Arumugan is the founder of Kaila Services and Kaila Software, which provides technology and talent solutions to small and medium-sized businesses in Iowa, Illinois, Ohio, Wisconsin and overseas. He specializes in serving construction, manufacturing and real estate businesses with cloud-based software solutions and alternative, scalable and affordable high technology workforce solutions.
Vijay held leadership roles in Engineering, Manufacturing, Marketing and IT with John Deere for over twenty-two years. He was instrumental in digitally transforming Deere's engineering, ag solutions, and operations capabilities, and helped establish foundational processes and platforms for new product delivery using lean and digital manufacturing. Vijay developed global engineering and manufacturing services and talent, and helped build tech centers and factories worldwide as Deere expanded its global footprint. He is recognized as a chief architect of Deere's digital engineering and manufacturing capabilities. He holds an EMBA from the Tippie School of Business, a Master's in Computer Science and Manufacturing Systems from NC State and a Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering from Manipal Institute of Technology.

The Quad Cities Chamber is one of four Illinois Defense Manufacturing Consortium (ILDMC) community members who share a grant to help local manufacturing companies and defense contractors grow through Manufacturing Hub programs, events and services focused on opportunities and issues, operational excellence, innovative technology, and workforce.
