Often, refugee families arriving in the Quad Cities have fled terror, war and oppression - resulting in deep psychological wounds and trauma. Through programs in the Quad Cities that offer housing assistance, employment services, English classes and other practical programs, refugees are seizing the opportunity to build a new life in America.
